    Pipeline Engineering Calculators

Estimate Barlow pressure, pipe or tube unit weight, and container quantities. Results support preliminary sourcing and logistics planning; final engineering and shipment decisions must be verified against project specifications and carrier limits.

    Pipeline Pressure Calculator

Uses the Barlow formula and built-in minimum strength data. Working pressure applies a safety factor of 1.5.

Burst pressure = (2 × tensile strength × wall thickness) ÷ outside diameter
    Working pressure = (2 × yield strength × wall thickness) ÷ (outside diameter × 1.5)
Enter values and select Calculate Pressure.

Pipe / Tube Weight Calculator (kg/m)

Calculates theoretical unit weight from OD, wall thickness and material density.

    Weight (kg/m) = (outside diameter − wall thickness) × wall thickness × 3.1416 × density ÷ 1000
Enter values and select Calculate Weight.

    Quantity of Container Calculator

A conservative, single-size estimate based on container length, rectangular cross-section stacking and the 26 t payload limit. It corrects the common mistake of applying the two-section rule to a 20GP when the pipe is longer than its 5.898 m internal length.

Per-container capacity = min(cross-section grid × permitted lengthwise sections, floor(26,000 kg ÷ weight per piece))
    Required containers = ceil(total quantity ÷ per-container capacity)
Enter one pipe or tube specification and select Calculate Containers.
